Usage of Electronic Resources in Madras University library and Role of Information Literacy

The present study deals with the usage of Electronic Resources in Madras University Library and role of information literacy. The major electronic resources forms are internet, CD ROMS online information and magnetic tapes. Probably the WWW is the Most predominately one among the various forms of electronic resources. The report of study contains mainly the objectives of the study, Hypothesis tested, Methodology of the study, sampling Techniques period of study, tools used for collection and analysis of the data, limitations of the study and scheme of reporting. The study covers the following types of electronic resources accessed in libraries, Time spend for E-resources, difficulties encounter in accessing e-resources Level of satisfaction of the user on e-resources, Importance of using E-resources and perceived advantages of e-resources. Findings of study followed by suggestion and conclusion are given.
