Aims and Scope
The Indian Journal of Animal Production and Management (IJAPM) publishes original research articles, review papers and short communications in all applied areas of animal production, livestock management, nutrition, breeding, reproductive technologies, health management, welfare and sustainable livestock systems. The journal prioritises scientifically sound studies that contribute to the advancement of livestock production and practical field applications.

Peer Review Process
IJAPM follows a double-blind external peer review process. All manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening for scope and basic quality, followed by evaluation from at least two independent expert reviewers. Identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous. The final publication decision is taken by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated Handling Editor based on reviewer comments and journal standards.

Publication Frequency
The journal is published quarterly with four issues per year: March, June, September and December. IJAPM strictly follows this schedule to ensure regular and timely publication.

Access and Distribution Policy
IJAPM is a paid-access journal. Users may access the contents of the journal through institutional or individual subscriptions. Articles are not freely available without subscription or purchase. Printed and online access options are available through ACS Publisher and the Indian Society of Animal Production and Management (ISAPM).

License and Rights
Copyright of published articles is retained by ACS Publisher and IJAPM. Authors may use their published work for academic and non-commercial purposes with proper attribution but may not distribute the final published version publicly without formal permission.

Archiving
All published issues are preserved in the PKP Preservation Network and archival systems used by ACS Publisher to ensure long-term availability.

Journal History
IJAPM was established in 1986 by the Indian Society of Animal Production and Management (ISAPM). The first issue was published by the Department of Livestock Production and Management, Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, under the founding editorship of Dr. N. S. R. Sastry. The journal has consistently supported scientific advancement in the field of animal production and livestock management.
