Peer Review Policy
The Indian Journal of Animal Reproduction (IJAR) uses an external double-blind peer review system.
1. Review Model
-
Double-blind: authors and reviewers remain anonymous
-
External: reviews are conducted by qualified experts from universities, research institutions, and industry—not by internal editors
2. Review Steps
-
Initial editorial screening
-
Assignment to two external reviewers
-
Detailed evaluation (originality, methodology, relevance, ethics, clarity)
-
Revision cycle (if needed)
-
Final decision by Editor-in-Chief
3. Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on:
-
Subject expertise
-
Academic credentials
-
Absence of conflict of interest
4. Review Integrity
-
No reviewer handles manuscripts from their own institution
-
Editors cannot review their own or close collaborators’ work
